Chicken Oriental is a flavorful dish inspired by Asian cuisine, featuring tender chicken pieces cooked with a blend of savory sauces like soy or teriyaki, and often combined with vegetables such as bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli. It is typically seasoned with aromatic spices and garnished with sesame seeds or green onions, offering a balance of sweet, salty, and umami flavors. This dish is commonly served with rice or noodles.

Instructions

  1. Marinate Chicken flakes with items 2 to 8 for several minutes

  2. Heat oil, mix chicken flakes with Corn starch and fry short at high heat in the wok all round, then remove

  3. Add the ingredients 11 - 14 into the wok and stir fry well - add the stock and steam up at high heat

  4. Add the chicken, lemon juice and lightly thicken with the diluted starch

  5. Check seasoning and arrange and sprinkle with Dhania

Ingredients

  • 100 g Chicken Flakes

  • small amount of Bullet Chilli, finely chopped

  • 1 pinch Sugar

  • 1 tsp Soya Sauce

  • 1 pinch Black Pepper

  • a bit of Garlic paste, finely minced

  • 1 pinch Ginger powder

  • 1 tbsp Rice wine or Sherry

  • 1 - 2 tsp Cornstarch

  • 16 g Oil (half regular, half clear Sesame oil)

  • 20 g Carrots, roughly cut into juliennes

  • 20 g Green Pepper, roughly cut into juliennes

  • 20 g Chinese cabbage, roughly cut into juliennes

  • 20 g Celery, roughly cut into juliennes

  • about ½ dl Chicken stock

  • few drops Lemon Juice

  • a bit of Cornstarch mixed with a little water

  • Salt

  • Dhania, roughly chopped
